Easter 2014

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

Oh what a wonderful weekend and Easter it was.. As I previously mentioned both my sisters were home and at my parents' so we got some quality family time in, as well as fun birthday and Easter celebrations.

Side note - if you bloggers out there happen to stumble upon my little blog and read this, how on earth do you all get an Easter recap together and up by Monday morning..?!?!?! I was happy to make it home in one piece (for the most part), put a worn-out little boy to bed (sans bath, mind you), get the car unloaded and all suitcases/boxes/etc. unpacked, and have the house in a semi-put-together state for the upcoming week; let alone get pictures on the computer, possibly edit, upload and compose a post. TELL ME THE SECRET.

Anyway, here are some pictures and fun little bits from our weekend.

The weather was beautiful. We had an improptu run in the sprinklers.
Of course my Mom's gardens had some beautiful blooms, just in time for Easter!!
Taking a break for snack time with Auntie. Tyson loved his time outside. My parents have a huge garage and good space for him to play, run around and ride his car. Once we'd get inside, he'd be asking to go back out.
Tyson partaking in, what my family affectionately calls, man sh*t. He knew exactly what to do.
After naptime, we decided to do his Easter basket.
As predicted, he went straight for the fruit snacks!! I can't blame him..
Little Blue Truck Leads the Way
Opening his basket with Grandma Easter morning - Tyson was spoiled by Grandma and Papa, and aunts and uncle with fun little treats!!
After Easter Sunday Mass, we had a full house and a delicious meal with family and friends. Then of course, headed out for an Easter egg hunt. Tyson did great and was really into it!!
Let me rephrase, he was really into the candy the Mr. filled the eggs with..
To top it all off, we were able to get a few GREAT family pictures.
Then we gave hugs, cried and left. Once we pushed it til naptime, we loaded up and headed back to do Easter with the Mr.'s parents. Tyson was passed out and drooling not even a mile into our trip back home.

Nana put together an awesome Easter basket for Tyson.
Nana and Grandpa also have a great backyard and space for running around/playing, so we headed outside and hunted more eggs.
Then Tyson got in on some egg dying. He did a great job and seemed to enjoy it. There were a few cracked eggs, but I was to blame for half of them. Oops. :)
After a fun, family-packed day, we headed home to unpack and get to bed early. Holidays keep getting more and more fun the older Tyson gets and the more 'involved' he is. We are so blessed to have such wonderful families and the ability to celebrate these special times together.
Hope you had a wonderful and memorable Easter 2014!!

    1. Hi Jenny - thanks for visiting and the compliment!! I have to remind myself, although it can be tiring going from family to family, it is such a blessing that we are able to!! :)
