'IT'Z' a party!!

Tuesday, May 6, 2014

This past weekend we celebrated Tyson's buddy's third birthday party at IT'Z. It was a super hero theme party - complete with pizza, games and little boys pushing naptime.. I snapped a few shots on my phone but otherwise was enjoying the time with my little family and our friends.
Tyson was the youngest kid at the party (not counting baby sisters) but kept up with them all just fine. Except come time to ride the car/track carosel-thing, he wasn't quite tall enough to make the cut. Cue momma's heart breaking... I felt so bad, like he was being left out, of course he didn't care or notice one way or the other. Once the ride began we realized it was for a good reason and even though he's very tall for his age, probably wasn't ready for that ride.
After lunch, gifts and cake, each kid got a card with credits for games so we headed into the arcade. Tyson was in 'button' heaven, reaching up and smacking them all as he ran by each game.
Tyson's favorite game, of course, was shooting hoops at the (mini) basketball station. He also enjoyed crawling up in the seats of driving games and turning the wheel and pushing whatever buttons were within reach, of course.
With less than 10 credits left on the card, past naptime and an extra tired 1 1/2 year old on our hands, Tyson spins the wheel and wins 1000 tickets... Not points applied to your card, but 1000 tickets, spit out the 'old-fashioned' way. Don't get me wrong I was excited for him - but we're a ticking time bomb at this point.. We gather most of the tickets, give the rest to the birthday boy and head home with a new bumpy-bouncy ball (perfect size for his basketball hoop) and a ghetto-fabulous inflatable guitar (which we later find out is like 5 feet long). It was a fun party, great company and an enjoyable Saturday afternoon as a family.
