Weekend Fun [4th of July]

Monday, July 7, 2014

We had an excellent weekend celebrating the 4th of July. It is such a fun time of year and we are so PROUD to be Americans. It was fun to see all the festive outfits and decorations. We are so blessed to live in this country and so thankful for our freedom.

We started the weekend with a star-spangled breakfast, including a few red, white and blue sprinkles to be even more festive. Tyson kept saying, 'birthday cake' (so I can't wait to see what he thinks of his REAL birthday cake..!!).
We enjoyed a sunny, fun-filled weekend with cousins!! Including a community gathering with some soccer, live music and snacks on the patio, lots of playtime and a pizza 'party', shopping and a lunch date. Needless to say, we wore those boys out this weekend!!
Check out this AWESOME rainbow - we took the boys out to see it and they got so excited and gasped when they saw it. My nephew said, 'there are so many colors!' It was the cutest thing!!

The Mr. completed some great projects at our house over the weekend also. In preparation for family visiting this weekend/birthday party, as well as things we needed to check off the list before baby, the Mr. was VERY productive!! He installed some shelves in our garage for storage and on Sunday we power-washed the garage together. It's such a great feeling to get some of these things done and I appreciate all his hard work sooooo much.

Tyson took advantage of the beautiful afternoon, getting in some water table time.
Our little altar boy, in training.
It was so fun to watch Tyson play and entertain himself; for the most part, he is really good at that and it's a quality that I am thankful for and although it might sound silly, it makes me proud of him.
Soon enough, the water table became his personal pool.
Thanks to the Mr. for this 'behind the scenes' picture. Haha :)
Now we are gearing up for BIRTHDAY week!! This was a little picture overload to prepare you for what may be ahead.. :)

Hope you all had a wonderful and safe 4th of July weekend!!

    1. Thanks!! I was reluctant to let him climb in there because it's not that sturdy, but I finally just let go and let him do his thing. He was having so much fun, I figured if he tips it over it's not too far to fall and he's already wet. :)

  2. Lol Lily tries to get inside her water table too. She often succeeds when I'm not paying close attention each second. Love the double rainbow! Gorgeous!

    1. That's funny that's their instinct to want to climb in there!! I had been trying to keep him out of it but just decided to let him go and have his fun. :)

I put some in Aria's oatmeal for her birthday last year. Never thought of it for much else though, you give me ideas!!! =) Happy soon to be birthday!
