Stitch fix: [December 2015]

Tuesday, December 22, 2015

I recently received a coupon code from Stitch Fix, essentially waiving the 'styling fee', if I scheduled another fix within certain dates, so schedule I did!!
Here's my December 2015 fix.

Mystree - Fred Mixed Material Pullover Sweater
I loved the idea of this sweater - neutral color, chunky knit, extra bottom layer/hem - however, the slits up the sides were a little high for my love handles liking and the price tag was more than I'd spend.
Returned.

Susana Monaco - Erynn Dress
This was a nice, mature style dress but the fit/style wasn't necessarily flattering on me. It was supposed to be 'fitted', but it made me self-conscious of my tummy. I think it's probably supposed to be more of a 'midi' cut, but on a 5'10" frame just hit me all wrong.. Plus $$$. No thanks.
Returned.

Market & Spruce - Ivanna Cowl Neck Sweater
'Ivanna' love this sweater, but it just didn't fit quite right. The chunky knit and color were beautiful, but the sleeves were a little short (again, 5'10"..).
Returned.

Loveappella - Evie Draw String Funnel Neck Sweatshirt
The color and style are perfect, very 'me', but it's still a hoodie. $64 for a hoodie..? Stitch Fix, you cray. I also noticed in this pic it's pretty see-through.
Returned.

Daniel Raninn - Albado Crew Neck Blouse
The style was perfect and it fit quite well. However, I didn't love the pattern/print and the fabric was just asking to be snagged by a little kid's buttons/snaps/zipper/velcro, etc.
Returned.
So, wah-wah - didn't keep anything!! I guess without the pressure of pissing away money, I didn't feel like I had to keep anything - which was a good thing because there wasn't anything I loved, plus these pieces were a little pricey for me for what I'd normally spend on something similar.

  1. I am getting my first "Fix" next week and I will be blown away if there is anything I love. I'm such a weirdo about clothes but when they were willing to waive the $20 fee, I didn't have anything to lose.

  2. Well, you looked amazing in all of them! That dress was stunning but if it doesnt fit well its a no. As much fun as this premise is, the cost of those pieces are wayyy out of my clothes budget, boohoo.

  3. Oh no!!! You didn't keep anything :( Boo! But at least the styling fee was free! That's a plus! I actually do love that Market and Spruce sweater on you though! That's TOTALLY something I would love! But seriously... I seem to love all Market and Spruce! Have you ever been able to find them anywhere in stores? I WANT another dolman (or 12) so badly (a plain color) but i can't find them anywhere! When I google, just people's blog reviews come up. I'd love to find this sweater too!

  4. Ooh I wonder if I got that email and deleted it cause I wish I had a code to waive a styling fee! Too bad you didn't keep anything, but at least it wasn't a waste of money! B

  5. I was tempted to schedule a fix because of the waived styling fee, but then I figured I'd spend unnecessary money on clothes when I don't need them!! The sweaters and sweatshirt are cute, but not worth the price tags if they don't fit quite right!

  8. Oh bummer. I have to agree with you on everything. Although, I totally love the idea of that first cream sweater - so much potential! Boo.

  9. I love that Cream sweater. Just saw here its coming in my January fix! Its set to arrive on Wednesday (my bday!!!). so I hope mine is a pretty color like cream as well. I requested that loveappella hoodie in one of my fall fixes because I had seen it on several blogs and loved it, but the sleeves were waaay short. Not short enough to be 3/4 but not long enough for longsleeves either....I'm only 5.7 so sleeve length isn't usually an issue for me. I cant lie and sau that Stitch Fix is losing some of its charm for me... If I get another dolman sleeve top (which I personally hate) or knit cardi from them, I'm gonna scream!!!! This may be my last fix....I feel your pain.

  10. I actually really love that hoodie, but $64?! Wow, no thank you. I got the coupon code to waive my styling fee as well, but no one else I know did. I guess we got lucky?? :)
