Painting Pumpkins

Thursday, October 27, 2016

After checking out Meghan's post, 'How to Host a Pumpkin Painting Party', I was inspired to let the kids dip in some paint and beautify some special little pumpkins.
This was, by no means, Pinterest-worthy, like Meghan's; and by 'party', for us it was more of an 'after-nap activity'. Either way, it was a hit with the kids and I loved watching them in action!!
After Homegirl's party, the table was already covered with paper so I figured it was a perfect time for the activity. Equipped with some dollar store paint and brushes, we stripped the kids down and let them go to town.
Their personalities took over - Harps grabbed a brush as soon as she was able, dunked it in the paint, and started swiping away on her pumpkin!! Tyson made sure his pumpkin was turned the right direction and started dipping, mixing, and creating his masterpiece.
Special thanks to Grandma Stacie for the perfect little pumpkins!!

  1. Such a fun after nap activity! We have it on our list this week too. I love Homegirl's pony. OMG adorable. And Tyson's serious, working hard face is so sweet.

  4. Oh my gosh, their pumpkins turned out amazing!!! I love this. I let Mason go to town with stickers and he had the best time. Next year I should try paint! Carving didn't go so well so maybe melting crayons, stickers, and paint next year will!
